A mobile work crew specializing in outdoor/indoor home maintenance.
Richmond HandyCrew Cooperative was established to offer employment for individuals who have a developmental disability. HandyCrew operates as a business cooperative – bringing together individual members, their families and the business community.
HandyCrew began as part of Richmond Society for Community Living adult day services and quickly grew in size to necessitate incorporation as a business under the Co-operative Association Act of British Columbia in February 2007. HandyCrew is governed by the Co-operative Association Act of BC with membership consisting of the individuals supported, their families and other people who share our vision of an inclusive community. We have a Constitution and By-laws that set out our purpose and the legal rules about how we govern ourselves, including our Board elections, annual general meetings and financial reporting.
